What have you been up to? What are you excited about this week?
Whew, what a whirlwind few days it’s been for me!! Between preparing to move out of my house to move into a place I’m building on a farm with some friends, preparing for a huge local speaking event this Thursday here in Daytona, preparing for my book tour and cross country road trip and keeping up with the podcast and this mailing list, it’s been a LOT! Plus I’ve been feeling a bit drained, due to some sinus stuff. When I woke up this morning, I felt uncharacteristically unenthused about starting my day. My body and my spirit told me to stay in bed as long as I needed, to get as much rest as my body needed to recover. I guess I didn’t realize how much I’ve been doing.
So, when I did eventually get out of bed at 8:30 (instead of my usual 5AM on Tuesdays), I made my protein shake and tea, and sat in my office chair. Still feeling super lethargic, I decided to chill out and meditate, and then my cat Elle came to my lap. We cuddled for an hour. That was my meditation for today!
Eventually I had to go produce shopping, so first I had to get my energy up. I wanted to document and share it. That meant that I had to put on a bra – hey, gotta be presentable – and then I shot this video, hoping to energize myself and share how it’s done with my friends. I made it public so anyone can see it.
I hope it helps you, and it all starts by taking action – this theme is repeated a LOT in this newsletter, it will be repeated in the FiveonFive article, it’s a theme in my book, and it’s something I must practice on a daily basis in order to stay enthusiastic, positive, and empowered.
It’s my mission to serve people, to share stories of victory, and to be the change I want to see in the world. By sharing this, I am fulfilling my purpose and living out my mission.
We will continue onward with food-specific stuff, but I wanted to write a quick note to you and check up on you! It’s also good to do a bit of review; frankly today’s message is inspired by a friend’s Facebook post. She was feeling lethargic at work and was asking for tips on how to feel energized. When I read the standard “drink an energy drink” and “eat sugar”, I felt compelled to link her over to the energy hacks and the video I posted this morning.
I’ve got to bolt again! Let’s catch up – I’d love to hear how your day has been and what you did over the weekend! Catch me up on the haps!
All my best,
